Karen Rutledge MBA, SHRM-SCP, CPHR, GPHR
Karen Rutledge is a seasoned People & Culture executive and trusted advisor with extensive experience leading HR strategy across North America. With a career spanning complex, multi-site and cross-border environments, she partners with executive teams to align people strategies with business objectives, strengthen leadership capability, and build high-performing, resilient organizations.
Karen brings deep expertise in organizational design, workforce planning, HR transformation, and global people strategy. She has led large-scale initiatives across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, supporting organizations with workforces of 1,500 to 3,000+ employees through growth, restructuring, acquisitions, and organizational change. Her experience includes advising on M&A activity, leading distributed HR and payroll teams, guiding succession and leadership development strategies, and implementing scalable systems and processes that drive performance and operational effectiveness.
Throughout her career, Karen has worked across manufacturing, technology, and complex service environments, supporting both unionized and non-unionized workforces. She is known for her collaborative, pragmatic leadership style and her ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments with sound judgment, strategic focus, and a strong commitment to culture, engagement, and long-term organizational sustainability.
Jody Drope B.Comm., CPHR
Jody Drope is a senior human resources executive and trusted advisor with more than 35 years of experience strengthening HR service delivery, organizational effectiveness, and workplace culture. She has held executive leadership roles in large, unionized, multi-department organizations, including serving as Vice President of People and Culture at BC Ferries and as Chief Human Resources Officer and Vice President of Human Resources, Environment, Health and Safety at FortisBC.
Jody brings deep expertise in organizational and HR department reviews, workforce planning, operating model design, job evaluation and compensation, employee and labour relations, occupational health and safety, HR technology, policy modernization, and organizational change. Her recent consulting work has focused on partnering with First Nation governments to strengthen HR practices, organizational structures, leadership capability, and culturally grounded workplaces. She has led complex engagements involving organizational reviews, compensation systems, workforce policies, fractional HR support, and leadership development, including programs addressing lateral violence through values-based Ways of Working and Lateral Kindness.
Known for her collaborative and practical approach, Jody brings curiosity, humility, and respect to complex and sensitive workplace matters. She works closely with leaders and employees to understand how work is experienced, validate findings with the people most affected, and translate recommendations into realistic, achievable roadmaps. Jody holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan and is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources.
